- About Me
- Michelle is a Senior Associate, Government Relations and Strategic Communications, at Sussex Strategy Group. Having worked in both the private and public sectors, Michelle offers extensive knowledge and insight into the areas of political and community advocacy, policy development, strategic communications and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Sussex, Michelle worked for a large pension fund in Ontario where she built and maintained key relationships with all three levels of government as well as managed effective relationships with approximately 50 diverse stakeholder groups. She was also involved in the transformation of the organization to an autonomous governance structure where she was responsible for transition planning and external communications.
She has also served as Senior Policy Advisor to Ontario’s Attorney General and Solicitor General.
Active in the community, Michelle leads a number of fundraising and educational events to benefit a variety of charitable organizations including leadership programs for kids and canine rescue. She has also been involved in numerous election campaigns at both federal and provincial levels.
Michelle completed her Masters of Business Administration Program (MBA) at Wilfrid Laurier University. She also holds a BA (High Honours) in Law and Criminology from Carleton University and a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations and Communications from Humber College.
