About Me
Nicole Swerhun works to better connect decision makers to the constituencies they serve. She has been doing this work since 1997, and as an independent consultant since 2004.

Nicole works almost exclusively with the public sector, including all levels of government and international agencies. Her projects have engaged the public and stakeholders in constructive discussions on complex and potentially controversial issues ranging from affordable housing, community safety, and youth employment, to environmental protection, waterfront development, transportation, and long term land use planning.

Her projects have taken her across Ontario and particularly the Greater Toronto Area, and Canada (to Ottawa and Prince Edward Island), to the US (post-Katrina New Orleans, Baltimore, and Norfolk), and internationally to Bosnia, Copenhagen, Guyana, and Paris.

Nicole has a BSc and a MBA. She is also a Senior Associate with the Canadian Urban Institute’s Centre for the Development of Community Assets.
