Gillian Hewitt Smith is Senior Advisor, Corporate Affairs for RBC and Head of Communications for RBC’s Strategy, Treasury and Corporate Services group. Gillian is responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated, global government relations strategy aligned with RBC's overall business priorities.
Gillian spent a dozen years working in corporate communications, and has led complex communication and corporate reputation strategies for companies including Aeroplan, Parmalat Canada and Pfizer Canada. A committed volunteer, Gillian is involved with over a dozen major organizations including the Art Gallery of Ontario and DiverseCity, an initiative of the Toronto City Summit Alliance.
Gillian is a member of the Atlantic Council of Canada, the Banff Forum, the Canadian International Council, the Canadian Public Relations Society, the Public Affairs Association of Canada and Women in Capital Markets.
